Dr. Bledsoe started her weight loss/wellness lifestyle change last July. She started with the 8 Weeks to Wellness Program and has been working that program as her new lifestyle ever since.
I began 8WW July 1, 2010, and have not turned back since. I wanted to take back control of my body after having a precious baby 2 years before. I had tried other programs in the past with short-term success and was really looking for a long-term change. 8WW was a completely different story! One of the greatest results from 8WW was learning how to succeed at reaching my goals of diet control, learning how and loving to exercise regularly, and the ease of continuing with the 8WW lifestyle 14 months later happily! I was able to deal with stress through meditation and regular massage, which also helped me focus on myself for a change. I have lost 4 dress sizes and am still toning my body with cycling, running, Zumba and strength training while continuing to eat healthy a year later and isn't stopping anytime soon!

I joined the program on 1/3/11 to initially lose weight! After getting the results of my pre-8WW lab work I had a whole other reason for doing the program. My fasting triglycerides were 939, pretty bad! They could not even calculate my cholesterol due to the high triglycerides! I had great success with the plan. After just 6 weeks of being on the program I had a fasting blood draw at my physician's office and had dropped my triglycerides to 287!! He was very impressed with my numbers! After completing the 8WW program I have lost 23 pounds! The program was much easier than I ever expected and I intend to continue on the program. I feel so much better mentally and physically! I would highly recommend this program! I feel I have already had great success!
The greatest gift I have received is the educational tools to achieve wellness thru the 8WW program. I have lost 30 lbs and improved the results on my blood work panels dramatically. My wish is for everyone to achieve the success in wellness as I have.
When I started 8WW I weighted 183 lbs, I am now down 34 lbs, but better than that I have lowered my cholesterol by 80 points! The program has allowed me to totally change my body inside and out. I am stronger, leaner and all around healthier.
Even my taste buds have changed, I am no longer craving the bad foods that I use to and still enjoy eating! Ok, so I weighed myself this morning after I was adjusted. Maybe it's not "official" since no one was with me, but I lost 6.5 pounds since last Monday!!! That definitely puts a smile on my face this Monday morning. I feel great! I wake up feeling so much better each day. I am loving this!!!! I can't believe it, but I just registered for the 5k. I'm crazy.
